Operating a place where people can come and enjoy themselves with good cheer, food and drink has been a goal for both of us (the owners) for some time. Additionally, having lived in Germany in various points of our lives, the love of good German food and customs is dear to us. Put these together and you have The People's Pub (Die Volkskneipe). We want you to feel welcome here, as well as become one of the family by helping us evolve in many aspects of the business, ranging from the beer and food selection to the decor to the general attitude of the place.

What is the Stammtisch table all about?
In Germany they have an expression called Stamm, which are valued, well-known guests and customers who have an unusual loyalty to the place that they frequent, be it because of other friends, good service, or the atmosphere. Stammtisch is the cherished table, reserved for loyal, trusted, good guests. Stammgast is the person invited to sit at the Stammtisch. Stammkunde is the loyal customer who frequents a business. Stammplatz is the favored place a customer likes to sit at. Stamm is the trunk of a tree, but it is also based on the direct translation of the word applied to the old Germanic tribes. So join us and be a part of the tribe!
