Now Open – The People’s Pub in Ballard

 We welcome one and all to come visit The People’s Pub (Die Volkskneipe) in the newly rejuvenated downtown Ballard area at 5429 Ballard Ave NW.

 Combining southwest German cuisine (maultaschen, schnitzels, rouladen) with some universal favorites (fish & chips, sour cream paprika chicken, polenta) and uniquely tasty appetizers and desserts (calamari, deep fried pickles, ice cream with hot raspberries), the food is reasonably priced, very filling and tastes great. Full menu is served from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Late night menu (shorter list, but large selection) is available until 1:30 AM – at last, late night eats in Ballard, perfect for after a show at one of the areas many music clubs or the recently re-opened movie theater nearby.

 The Pub also has a large selection of imported German and microbrew beer, both on tap and in bottles. And it is a full service bar with one of the finest selections of spirits in the area, specializing in single malt scotches. Happy hours and drink specials will soon be starting. All ages are permitted in the front dining room and lounge sections until 10 PM, 21 and over in the brand new bar area in the back of the building at all times. Smoking allowed in the very well ventilated bar area at all times, the remainder of the establishment is non-smoking until after 10 PM.
